CHT | CCV Master Plan
Location : Saint Albans, Vermont
Progress : Completed
Located in downtown St. Albans on a designated brownfield, the completion of Congress and Main represents a meaningful step forward in the City’s broader economic development strategy. The affordable housing portion which was developed by Champlain Housing trust brings together the Community College of Vermont, offices for Northwestern Medical Center, and additional commercial and retail space, contributing to a more active and diversified downtown core.
JRMA Design Studio led the master planning and provided schematic design support for the project in collaboration with Champlain Housing Trust, Doug Nedde, and Grant Butterfield. The firm’s role focused on establishing a cohesive vision for the site, aligning programmatic needs with urban design strategies appropriate to the context of downtown St. Albans.
Following early design phases, JRMA continued its involvement by supporting the project through construction administration, helping to maintain design intent as the project moved from concept to completion. The architect of record for the project was Jutras Architecture.
