JRMA designed an addition to a residence in the 'islands' to expand the kitchen, dining, and deck spaces. The clean lines and simple detailing contrasts with the existing shingle style house. The directive was to provide as much natural light with a minimum of obstruction of the views to Lake Champlain and the surrounding woods. A 3 inch thick glass island top adds a splash of color to the natural wood finishes.
